Keep Only What You Love

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” – Leonardo da Vinci

DSC_6949_resize“I haven’t got a thing to wear!” Does that sound familiar? We stand in front of our closets looking for something pretty only to revert back to our “uniform” – the comfy jeans with the blue sweater.

So what do we do with all the unused clothes in our closet? Usually nothing.

A lot were impulse buys, the expensive itchy sweaters, the black silk pants that feel amazing but don’t button up, and the ruffled blouse that’s practically see-through. “What was I thinking?” you ask yourself.

Spring is the perfect time to take stock of our wardrobes. It’s the perfect time to shed our winter coats and boots for lighter and brighter clothes. So I encourage you to be brave and take everything out of your closet and try it on. Be ruthless! What worked for you before might not work anymore. Sizes change and so do tastes.

Keep only items that are current, fit you well, and make you feel good. It’s all about looking your best. If the task becomes too daunting, call a friend or a professional organizer to help.

How would you feel to have a closet filled with only the things you truly love?

Let me know what you think!
